DoWed’s Wedding Planning with Wedding floral Decoration Course (PREVIEW SESSION)
INTRODUCTION
(Collaboration with Nobleman School of Flora Design)
Do-Wedʼs certification course is an apprenticeship programme providing
students with a comprehensive and structured program through conceptual
and real-world training, equipping them with the insight and knowledge to
get started as a wedding planner.
Students will be involved in actual wedding projects taken on by the
company, as we believe that hands-on learning is the most productive way
to learn. In each module, students will need to go for compulsory field trips
(organised by the training school) to wedding venues in Singapore, bridal
boutiques etc. This allows students to understand the roles of the vendors
and most importantly, show them what to look for when actually planning a
wedding for a client. You will be taught by professionals in each field, from
top-notch videographers, a wedding emcee, and event director to make-up
artists.
As a wedding planner, itʼs important to know your flowers well! You will be
attending a one month course with reputable flora school, Nobleman
School of Flora Design. In this one month program, you will be learning
hands-on wedding flora decoration such as Bridal Bouquet, Corsages,
head dress and centre pieces. You will also be need to go through a theory
class, to know and understand the basic foundation of flowers.
COURSE OUTLINE
Module 1:
Introduction to Wedding Planning - four classes and one outdoor field trip:

> The role of a wedding planner
> Image consultancy
> Meeting the client
> bride’s personality test
> Interesting venues
Assignment 1: Creating a thematic Wedding.
Field Trip 1:
Visiting outdoor and indoor wedding venues in Singapore
Module 2 and 3:
Glamour / Presentation and Selling Skill - Five classes
Glamour
> Choosing a dream gown
> Dressing the men
> Make up and hair styling (with a guest speaker from the industry)
> Jewellery and accessories
> Beauty and exercise regime
> Emergency kits
Presentation and Selling Skill.
> Persuasive, Proposal and Presentations
> The Sales Success formula.
Assignment 2:
Creating an emergency kits.
Presentation of wedding’s ideas to couple
Module 4:
Decoration and memories - 5 classes with one outdoor field trip.
> The importance of decoration
> Meeting the florist
> Wedding stationary
> Wedding tradition
> Photographer and videographer (Guest speaker)
> Organising a bridal shower
> Organising an engagement parties
> Be a Party Planner.

Plan an engagement party
Field trip: Assisting in a real wedding ( Project 1)
Module 5: Nobleman School of Flora Design
Wedding flora design - 3 practical classes,1 theory class

Module 6&7:
Food and Beverage - setting up your business - four classes with one outdoor
field trip.

METHODOLOGY
Your project will be based on an actual conceptualisation of a real wedding.
Students will also be attached to wedding projects taken on by the
company. All students will be required to follow the wedding planners of
DoWed to meet all different vendors and clients. So that students know
how to go about planning an actual wedding.
